Safari Overview
This 5-day Kenya safari combines Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara National Reserve for a balanced wildlife experience. The journey starts in Nairobi and takes you to Amboseli, where you enjoy game drives among large elephant herds with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You then continue to Lake Naivasha for a boat safari before travelling to the Masai Mara. The final two days focus mainly on the Mara, giving you more time for game drives and opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife. The route is designed to combine different landscapes and wildlife experiences while keeping the safari practical.
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from Nairobi and a drive south towards Amboseli National Park. The journey passes through the Kenyan countryside before reaching the park, where you begin your first wildlife experience. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive across the Amboseli plains. The park is well known for its large elephant herds and impressive views of Mount Kilimanjaro when the weather is clear. During the drive, look out for buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, antelopes, warthogs and different bird species. Lions and other predators may also be seen depending on wildlife movements. After the game drive, proceed to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha
Wake up early for a morning game drive in Amboseli, when wildlife is often active and temperatures are cooler. This gives you another opportunity to explore the park and search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and other animals. You may also enjoy another opportunity to see Mount Kilimanjaro before leaving the park. Return to your accommodation for breakfast and check out. Continue towards Lake Naivasha through the changing landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the Naivasha area later in the day and check in at your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the lake.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara
After breakfast, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Naivasha. The boat ride provides a different wildlife experience from the previous game drives, with opportunities to see hippos in the water and many species of birds around the lake. You may see fish eagles, pelicans, cormorants and other water birds during the excursion. After the boat safari, continue your journey towards the Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you through the Great Rift Valley and the scenic countryside of southwestern Kenya. After lunch, continue towards the Mara. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy an afternoon game drive as you enter the reserve, searching for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, antelopes and big cats before heading to your accommodation.

Day 4: Full-Day Masai Mara Game Drive
Today is dedicated to exploring the Masai Mara National Reserve with a full-day game drive. After an early breakfast, set out with your guide to explore different parts of the reserve and search for its abundant wildlife. The Mara is famous for its large populations of lions, cheetahs and leopards, as well as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, elands, topis, impalas and hyenas. Your guide will select areas based on wildlife movements and current conditions. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive so that you can spend more time inside the reserve. Continue exploring throughout the afternoon before returning to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Start your final safari day with an early morning game drive in the Masai Mara. The morning provides another opportunity to search for wildlife before the day becomes warmer. Depending on the area explored, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and various antelopes. After the game drive, return to your accommodation for breakfast and check out. Begin the journey back to Nairobi, travelling through the Kenyan countryside and Rift Valley landscapes. Stop for lunch along the way before continuing to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon or evening, depending on road and traffic conditions. Your 5-day Kenya wildlife safari ends with drop-off at your Nairobi hotel, airport or another agreed location.
