Safari Overview
This 4-day Kenya safari combines Amboseli National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve for a short but rewarding wildlife experience. The safari starts in Nairobi and takes you to Amboseli, where you enjoy game drives with opportunities to see large elephant herds, lions, buffaloes, zebras and other wildlife, with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop. The journey then continues to the Masai Mara, where more time is dedicated to game viewing across its open grasslands. The Mara offers excellent opportunities to search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras and many other species before returning to Nairobi.
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from Nairobi and a drive towards Amboseli National Park. Travel through the Kenyan countryside towards the park, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, begin your first afternoon game drive across the Amboseli plains. The park is particularly known for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. During the game drive, look out for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, antelopes and various bird species. Lions and other predators may also be encountered. Continue exploring the park before heading to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Amboseli – Masai Mara
Wake up early for a morning game drive in Amboseli, giving you another opportunity to see wildlife while animals are active in the cooler morning hours. Search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes and other wildlife before returning to your accommodation for breakfast. Check out and begin the long journey towards the Masai Mara National Reserve. Travel through Kenya’s changing landscapes and the Great Rift Valley before continuing towards southwestern Kenya. Arrive in the Masai Mara later in the day and, depending on the timing, enjoy an afternoon game drive as you enter the reserve. Continue to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full-Day Masai Mara Game Drive
Today is dedicated to exploring the Masai Mara with a full-day game drive. After an early breakfast, set out with your guide to explore the reserve and search for its abundant wildlife. The Mara is famous for its big cats, including lions, cheetahs and leopards, as well as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, elands, topis, impalas and other antelopes. Your guide will choose areas to explore according to wildlife movements and road conditions. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive and continue exploring throughout the afternoon. Later, leave the reserve and return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Start the final day with an early morning game drive in the Masai Mara. This is another opportunity to explore the reserve before the day becomes warmer and to search for wildlife that may be active during the morning hours. Depending on the area visited, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and various antelopes, with possible sightings of cheetahs and leopards. Return to your accommodation for breakfast and check out. Begin the journey back to Nairobi, travelling through the Kenyan countryside and Rift Valley landscapes. Stop for lunch along the way before continuing to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon or evening, where your safari ends with drop-off at your hotel or airport.
